Today we get up at the break of dawn. Exactly one month after having landed in Chesapeake, VA to take possession of Magic, we are finally ready to cast our lines.It’s been an exciting month, with little time to relax or visit the area. We did drive hundred of miles from Walmart to Home Depot, from Auto Parts to West Marine.
The team of specialists of Atlantic Yacht Basin have worked wonders and have reacted gracefully to our various requests. Many thanks to them all.
Above all, Bill’s help, advise, and friendship have been invaluable. He and his wife Chris went as far as inviting us to dinner at their home to outline the first couple of weeks of our future adventure. They are with us on this trip.
Soon we slide softly out of our slip, and aim for our first bridge. We’re headed for Florida, but where and when exactly is open to speculation…
