I first saw it as a log to avoid. Nelly was at the helm, and I vaguely told her to keep away from it, knowing that she had already seen it. But she said: “Your log is moving.” “I guess some current…”, but the thing was actively crossing the intracoastal waterway, and we soon spotted its heary, round ears and it shortened tail. We stopped the boat completely, to give it the right of way (though it was coming from our port side!) . It looked at us a couple of times and kept pedaling bravely across towards the marshy bank.
We did some research on the internet and we figure it was a Lynx, but any confirmation or detail would be welcome.
